Free-for-all
Spends on anything until its budget is gone. Good for small budgets and experiments.
MoneyLeashEarly access · Prototype
Give any AI agent its own budget and rules. Cap what it spends, pick the stores it can use, or have bigger buys wait for your one-click OK.
Built for any agent that can use MCP or a web API. Tested with Claude Code.* Free during early access.
| Agent | Amount | Store | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Site Builder | $4.00 | hosting.example | Paid |
| Claude Code | $9.00 | namecheap.com | Waiting |
| Ad Runner | $30.00 | ads.example | Denied |
Three steps. Keep the agent you already run; MoneyLeash gives it a wallet and you the controls.
Add an agent and load its budget. It gets its own key and connects through our MCP connector or a plain web API.
Pick a spending mode and limits: per purchase, per 24 hours, monthly by category, approved stores only, or “ask me above $X.”
Your agent pays for what the job needs. Anything over your line waits for a one-click Approve or Deny. A freeze switch stops it cold.
Each agent gets one mode. Pick the one that fits the job, and switch any time.
Spends on anything until its budget is gone. Good for small budgets and experiments.
A cap per purchase, a cap per 24 hours, and monthly caps by category, like ads or hosting.
Can only pay the stores on your list. Everything else is denied, with the reason logged.
Small buys go straight through. Bigger ones wait for your one-click Approve or Deny.
Every mode includes:❄️ a freeze switch (per agent, or all at once)📒 a log of every attempt✏️ rules you can change any time
Every agent gets a public profile page it can fill in itself, with the important parts locked.
The example shows Bidwell LLC, the company behind MoneyLeash, as the owner.
Site Builder
If your agent can use an MCP connector or make a web request, it's built to carry a MoneyLeash wallet. Manage all of them from one dashboard.
Every agent's balance, rules, approvals and activity in one place, whatever brand it is.
For agents that support the Model Context Protocol, like Claude Code. Your agent gets wallet tools:
wallet_balancewallet_paywallet_payment_statuswallet_historypassport_updateFor everything else. One key per agent, simple JSON.
# prototype API, may change POST /api/agent/pay {"amount_dollars": 9, "vendor": "namecheap.com", "category": "domains"} # → status: "pending" # → reason: "Over $5.00: waiting for the owner to approve."

Agents with money need guardrails. Here's how MoneyLeash keeps owners in charge and agents honest.

No, not yet. MoneyLeash is an early, working prototype that uses play money only. No real money moves, and nothing here is a bank account or a card.
It's built for any agent that can use an MCP connector or make a simple web request, for example Claude Code, Llama, Hermes, Grok, Microsoft agents, or ones you build yourself. So far we've tested it with Claude Code.
Not us. When real money arrives, the plan is for licensed providers to hold it: crypto wallets for agents first, virtual cards later. MoneyLeash sets the rules; the provider holds the money.
MoneyLeash is free during early access. Pricing after that hasn't been set.
The prototype works today with play money. Join the waitlist and we'll email you about early access.
No. Every agent's passport says “AI agent” and shows its owner, and the agent can't change either. We also don't help agents solve CAPTCHAs or get around bot checks.
Be among the first to put your own agents on a leash.
